Van Dusschoten and DIKS merge

Anyone who occasionally drives around Amsterdam has probably seen us: the dark blue vans with the four familiar yellow letters. The vans, together with our regular passenger cars, will now also be seen frequently in Amersfoort and Zeist. Van Dusschoten & Van Ginkel and DIKS Autoverhuur, two leading family businesses with a rich history, will continue under one banner from June 2024. “The changing market has brought us together so that we can continue to grow and innovate,” stated by Niels Diks.

Van Dusschoten & Van Ginkel becomes DIKS

Although the name Van Dusschoten & Van Ginkel will change to DIKS Car Rental & Car Sharing, the familiar service for the residents of Amersfoort and Zeist will remain. The familiar white-orange buses will not disappear from the streets from one day to the next, because for the time being they will keep driving around. The business premises in Amersfoort and Zeist will be tackled step by step and given the DIKS look and feel. Meanwhile, the familiar faces behind the orange rental counter, including director Gerard Spoor, will remain actively involved. Their commitment remains crucial to guarantee the service and quality that Van Dusschoten & Van Ginkel Autoverhuur has been providing for years.

What are the benefits for you?

Of course, the merge also brings concrete benefits: you benefit from a wider range of vehicles, more availability and even better accessibility. Moreover, DIKS is ready for the future with its helpful app. In this app, which you can download in all app stores, the new service 'DIKS car sharing' will soon be available. With this new service, we want to offer our customers even more flexibility: from one hour to one year, you decide how long you need a vehicle.
