24/7 Roadside assistance
Breaking down on the road is never part of the plan, but if it happens, you’re not on your own. Our roadside assistance center is available day and night, so you can get back on the road as quickly as possible, no matter where you are.
Roadside assistance may incur costs, depending on the cause. Read below to find out when that’s the case.
When are costs your responsibility?
Breakdowns caused by your own actions are not covered by standard roadside assistance. Examples include a dead battery caused by leaving the lights on or using the tailgate while the engine is off, a flat tire, lost keys, or filling up with the wrong fuel.
If it turns out that you have broken down due to your own fault, both the costs for the assistance service and any damage costs will be charged to you. These will be deducted from your deductible.
Roadside assistance abroad
You can also use our roadside assistance abroad. The procedure is similar to that in the Netherlands, but please note the following:
Repairs may take up to 48 hours if they cannot be performed immediately
If the repair takes longer, we can arrange for a rental car
Additional costs incurred while traveling (such as taxi or accommodation costs) may be at your own expense
Always indicate when making your reservation that you are traveling abroad by car. If you did not report this in advance, you are personally responsible for all costs in the event of a breakdown abroad. Want to know more?
