What is the deductible? (Own risk)

The deductible is the maximum amount you pay per claim, such as dents and/or scratches or damage caused to a counterparty.

Suppose you return the rental car damaged or worse: it is stolen, then you pay us your agreed deductible. If the damage is lower than your deductible, you pay less. If the damage is recoverable from a counterparty known to us, you will of course not pay anything.

It is not possible to buy off the deductible in full.

How can I change or cancel a reservation?

You can change or cancel your reservation by contacting your pick-up location by telephone.

Outside opening hours you can cancel by sending an email to the location where you would pick up the vehicle. Please state your name, e-mail address and when you reserved the vehicle.

Cancellation at DIKS Car Rental is FREE OF CHARGE and possible until the very last moment: the time you would come to pick up the rental vehicle.

From what age can I rent a car?

The minimum age requirement to rent a car from DIKS Car Rental is 19 years old. Additionally, All drivers must be in possession of a driver's license for at least 1 year.

Additional driver(s) specified must also meet these requirements.

From the age of 19 to 20 you are able to rent a small passenger car, a passenger bus or van. From the age of 21 onwards you can rent all vehicles.

In addition, young drivers (19 & 20 years old) pay a surcharge of € 15 per rental day.
