Overhead damage

If you have caused damage to the rental vehicle, you pay a maximum of the agreed deductible.

However, is the damage to the vehicle above 1.90m? Then there is overhead damage and a higher deductible will be charged, in accordance with the BOVAG rental conditions.

Any reduction of the deductible is not legally valid in these cases.

Private

As stated in the General Terms and Conditions BOVAG Rental Companies, overhead damage will always remain at the expense of the tenant up to an amount of € 1,500 for a private individual.

Business

Prevent overhead damage

  • Pay attention to maximum clearance heights at tunnels, bridges, viaducts, etc.
