Fuel Policy
At DIKS, we follow the “full-to-full” principle. This means you receive the vehicle with a full tank of fuel or a fully charged battery and return it in the same condition at the end of the rental period. This helps you avoid extra costs, ensures you only pay for what you use, and allows us to prepare the vehicle immediately for the next renter.
If you do not return the vehicle with a full tank or fully charged battery, we will refill the tank or charge the battery for you. The costs for fuel or charging and the associated service fees will be added to the invoice.
Fueled Vehicles
Do you drive a vehicle that runs on gasoline, diesel, or LPG? If so, be sure to fill up the tank right before returning the vehicle.
Fuel prices can vary significantly by region and gas station. Do you drive a lot of miles? If so, it may be worth checking in advance where you can fill up for the lowest price. Use the tool below to view current fuel prices.
Electric vehicles
For electric vehicles, the same principle applies. Make sure to return the car fully charged, for example by charging via a fast charger near the branch. Returning it with less than 80% battery? We will charge a recharging fee of 50 euro on top of the charging costs because we cannot hand the car over to the next customer directly.
When picking up an electric vehicle, you will receive a personal Laadkompas charging card, giving you access to an extensive network of charging points in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. Charging costs are passed on to you via this card, so you have full insight into your usage.
With the free Laadkompas app, you have a clear overview of charging points and rates on the go, so you can always drive electric without any worries.
