Picking up a vehicle at DIKS
Did you reserve a car or van? Then you’ll probably want to know exactly what you need to bring with you when you pick up the vehicle.
On this page, you’ll find out which documents you need and what requirements and conditions they must meet. This way, you’ll arrive at the counter well-prepared, know what to expect, and be on your way in no time.
What do you need to bring?
Are you renting a vehicle for personal use? If so, please bring the following:
• A valid driver’s license (held for at least 1 year)
• Proof of address (only required for first-time rentals or after a move)
• A debit or credit card
Please note: all documents must be in the name of the primary renter.
Are you renting for business purposes? Then the same requirements as above apply, supplemented by a recent Chamber of Commerce extract. This extract must not be older than six months. Additionally, unlike private rentals, proof of address is not required for business rentals.

A valid driver’s license
• You must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.
• Only EU driver's licenses in credit card format are accepted.
• We do not accept driver's licenses that are more than ten years old. This also applies to paper driver's licenses from other countries, even if they are still officially valid.
• Driver’s licenses in non-Latin scripts (such as Arabic, Chinese, or Cyrillic) are only valid in combination with an International Driver’s Permit. This is available through the ANWB.
Proof of address
If you are renting from us for the first time or have recently moved, we ask for proof of address. This is a document that includes your name and residential address, such as a (digital) bank statement, pay stub, utility bill, or a letter from the municipality. Make sure this document is no older than three months.
Do you live abroad? In that case, we ask you to bring a valid passport instead of proof of address.
Paying the deposit
You must pay a deposit to rent a vehicle. This can be done in advance via iDEAL | Wero. If the deposit has not yet been paid at the time of pickup, you can pay it with a debit or credit card. Please note that we do not accept cash or prepaid credit cards.
Do you live abroad? In that case, payment by credit card is required.
