BOVAG Rental Terms and Conditions

Additional conditions

• A rental day runs from 08:00 to 08:00 the following day.

• 4-hour rental rates are not available on Saturdays and Sundays.

• Promotions and discounts cannot be combined with 4-hour rentals, rental periods of 7 days or more, or unlimited mileage rates, unless stated otherwise.

• The deposit consists of the estimated rental amount as stated in the rental agreement, plus €250.

• Per incident, you are liable up to the agreed excess as stated in the rental agreement and in accordance with the applicable BOVAG rental conditions. The amount of the excess depends on the selected insurance package, vehicle category, and your age.

• In certain situations, a higher excess may apply, for example in the case of overhead damage or damage caused while reversing or parking.

• We do not rent to individuals who have held a driving licence for less than 1 year and/or are under the age of 19.

• For unlimited mileage offers, a maximum of 3,000 kilometres per week applies based on a fair use policy. Additional charges may apply if this limit is exceeded.

• An administration fee of €15 will be charged for processing traffic fines. Your details will be forwarded to the relevant authority, and you will receive an invoice from us including a copy of the fine. This invoice must be paid to us. The official fine will be sent directly to you by the issuing authority.

• It is the responsibility of the renter to check in advance which documents are required for using the vehicle abroad.
