Fair Use Policy

Unlimited kilometers is based on our fair use policy. The purpose of this is to prevent unreasonable use of our vehicles.

If, at the end of the rental period, there is evidence of abuse or an excessive number of kilometers driven (more than 3,000 kilometers driven per week), Diks Autoverhuur B.V. the right to charge costs for the extra kilometers driven, to terminate the rental period and/or to set other conditions.

What does unlimited kilometers mean?

Unlimited kilomters in most cases means that you can drive an unlimited number of kilometers without extra costs. Are you planning to go on a ski holiday to Austria and drive 3,000 kilometers in one week? No problem.

All vehicles have unlimited kilometers from 7 days with the exception of:

  • Mercedes-Benz V-Class (maximum of 400 km free per day, also for 7 days or longer)

  • All refrigerated trucks (0 km free per day, also for 7 days or longer)

What is unreasonable use?

We speak of unreasonable use if an excessive number of kilometers is driven during the rental period. You didn't rent a vehicle for holiday purposes and you've driven more than 1,000 kilometers in a week? In this case we speak of unreasonable use.
